Student gains more than experience

18 year old Paul volunteers at St Ann's Hospice twice a week. He wants to become a doctor and the hospice is providing him with valuable work experience and the chance to meet some amazing people.

Tony is a selfemployed plumber and heating engineer but also volunteers for British Red Cross Fire Victim Support unit, providing practical advice, comfort and support to people who have suffered domestic fires.

Aimee, 18, thought that it would be a good idea to volunteer as a mentor for Cumbria Alliance in order to gain some work experience to add to her CV. She has now been offered a paid job at the Youth Club where she will be mentoring people her own age.
