Joanna, 27, helped as a language volunteer at the 2003 Special Olympics in Ireland. She assisted different teams and her duties ranged from hairdressing to going shopping for athletes of various nationalities.

Trish, 34, has been volunteering for BFASG for over five years, offering support and alternative treatments such as Accupunture, Reiki and Indian Head massage to young addicts.

Anne is a retired dental nurse, who volunteers with TAC. She helps to feed and look after injured animals and return them back to the wild.

Since Maureen's son was diagnosed with a serious mental illness, she has dedicated a lot of her time and effort to helping and supporting mental health patients and their carers. She is currently volunteering as the Committee's Secretary for CAUSE.
